One of the web-based and smartphone services being used by a growing number of people is Evernote, a service where people can store notes, files, photos and more on the Web, then retrieve them from other computers or an iPhone.

The Evernote website recently posted a profile of a user with Traumatic Brain Injury who uses the service to compensate for his short-term memory loss. Reading through the comments after the story, it’s clear this is a tool people with dementia and other diseases could find useful as well. A basic Evernote account is free to set up and use.

This story got me thinking Evernote could be useful for many people here. The story is online at Evernote’s blog.
