Planning for Hope is a documentary about Frontotemporal Dementia that includes patients, caregivers, and other family members telling about the profound impact of FTD and other dementias on their lives. The documentary had its premiere in Colorado on May 14, 2010, has been broadcast on over 100 Public Television stations in the U.S., and, as of March, 2025, has been viewed more than 118,000 times online. While research on Frontotemporal Dementia continues, the content of this documentary is still very relevant for persons and families impacted by FTD.
You’re welcome to watch the full 57-minute documentary here:
You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to watch the video, and know the early signs of FTD (frontotemporal dementia) because early detection matters! Find out if you or a loved one are at risk for frontotemporal disease, a dementia that hits people in their 40s and 50s — and sometimes earlier. We hope you’ll get involved and spread awareness by asking your friends to watch this video. Early detection matters. Know the early signs of FTD.
The FTD: Planing for Hope website will be back online soon.
Along with the producers – who are part of our FTD “community” – we hope to hear not only from persons with FTD and other dementias, but also from persons with ideas and/or resources to help get this film shown and distributed to health care providers, persons with dementia, their caregivers, and other family members.
