Vicki Receives Communications Award

Today in New Orleans, at the Catholic Media Convention, Vicki Wells Bedard received the 2010 President’s Medallion, the highest award presented to a member of the Catholic Academy of Communication Arts Professionals. I was honored to be there with Vicki when she received the award, and wanted to share this audio recording of the award presentation, which includes a very moving response by Vicki.

Vicki will soon be sharing her thoughts and feelings about receiving this recognition by her peers. Receiving this professional award has been a real blessing for Vicki.

  2. Vicki,
So proud of you! What a wonderful acceptance speech. Thank you so much for educating others about FTD and advocating for all who’ve been diagnosed with FTD.

    Vicki,

You were just radiant! What a smile and justly so for such a memorable day. I know I am just getting to know you but this speech and award speak volumes to how fortunate I am to have crossed paths with you in this lifetime.

I can tell you are a woman, like myself, who will take this journey with her head held high and who will also “fight the good fight” until the journey’s end. At which time we will proceed on to even greater explorations.

May your journey be painless and may your efforts continue to receive the accolades that are due you. Your friend and fellow fighter. Jan
